Am beth y mae’r beirniaid yn chwilio?

Gellir cael meini prawf y gwobrau penodol ar y tudalennau gwobrau, ond, fel trosolwg, bydd y beirniaid yn dymuno gwybod, ymhlith pethau eraill:

  • Beth yw’r ysbrydoliaeth y tu ôl i’ch busnes neu syniad busnes.
  • Beth sy’n gwneud eich busnes neu eich syniad busnes yn wahanol i eraill.
  • Unrhyw agweddau arloesol ar eich busnes neu syniad busnes.
  • Bod gennych gynllun busnes cadarn ynghyd â’ch bod yn rhoi sylw i berfformiad ariannol eich busnes.
  • Eich bod yn gallu cynnig cyflwyniad creadigol cyffrous a gwreiddiol sy’n dod â’ch busnes yn fyw.
  • Beth yw’r dyfodol i’ch busnes neu syniad busnes.

Pwy fydd yn beirniadu’r gwobrau?

Bydd y beirniaid, ar gyfer bob cam o broses ddethol y gwobrau, yn dod o amryw gefndiroedd, ac yn cynnwys:

  • Arweinyddion busnes lleol sy’n cynrychioli nifer o sefydliadau byd-eang
  • Uwch aelodau staff o Ysgol Fusnes Prifysgol De Cymru
  • Entrepreneuriaid llwyddiannus a phobl broffesiynol ym maes cymorth menter

Gyfarwyddwr y Ganolfan Ymchwil Entrepreneuriaeth a Marchnata (CREaM)

Mae Jonathan yn Ddarllenydd mewn Marchnata ac Entrepreneuriaeth yn Ysgol Fusnes De Cymru. Mae’n ymddiriedolwr ac yn Gymrawd o’r Sefydliad Marchnata Siartredig ac yn olygydd cylchgrawn rhyngwladol y ‘Journal for Research in Marketing and Entrepreneurship’ (JRME). Yn Ysgol Fusnes De Cymru, mae’n gyfarwyddwr y Ganolfan Ymchwil Entrepreneuriaeth a Marchnata (CREaM), lle mae ei ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar sut y mae cwmnïau entrepreneuraidd yn ‘creu marchnadoedd’. Cyn mynd i’r byd academaidd, gyrfa o fewn busnes oedd gan Jonathan – yn enwedig ym maes mentrau newydd, twf uchel. Mae Jonathan yn ‘arweinydd agweddau’ (‘thought leader’) cydnabyddedig yn y rhyngwyneb rhwng Marchnata, Entrepreneuriaeth a Rheolaeth. I ymlacio, mae’n ‘mwynhau’ chwaraeon antur.

Paul Peachey

Uwch Ddarlithydd mewn Menter, Prifysgol De Cymru

Mae Paul yn uwch ddarlithydd mewn menter, arweinydd y cwrs ar gyfer nifer o raglenni busnes y Brifysgol a’r rheolwr prosiect o brosiect FD mawr a ariennir yn rhannol gan yr Undeb Ewropeaidd. Mae Paul wedi gweithio ym Mhrifysgol De Cymru ers 2003, gydag agenda ymchwil cyfredol ym maes dysgu cyfunol, ar ôl bod yn ymwneud yn sylweddol wrth ddatblygu a chyflwyno dau o gyrsiau yn gyfan gwbl ar-lein mwyaf Ewrop. Mae Paul wedi ennill nifer o wobrau addysgu mewn arloesedd ac arfer addysgu da ac yn hwyluso nifer o fentrau sy’n seiliedig ar fenter-cyffrous sy’n cyfoethogi profiad dysgu’r myfyriwr a photensial dysgu. Dros y blynyddoedd, mae wedi dechrau i fyny nifer o fusnesau micro oddi ar y campws ac mae’n rheolwr gyfarwyddwr cwmni gweithgynhyrchu ar hyn o bryd.

Paula Stephens

Senior Lecturer in Marketing, University of South Wales

Paula Stephens is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at USW Business School. Before joining the University of South Wales in 2000, Paula was a senior customer care and marketing professional in the communications industry. Her research interests are mainly in the area of marketing communications relating to not-for-profit marketing and marketing of self: as well as narrative inquiry as a methodology in a business context. She currently teaches Advanced Marketing Communications and Brands and Reputation Management (at postgraduate level) and Foundations in Marketing and Marketing Communication (at undergraduate level. Paula is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and has been a Chartered Marketer for more than ten years.

Prith Briant

Founder, The Creative Thinking Company

Prith is a Creative Facilitator and works to unlock the creative potential of people. She helps makes innovation a reality not just a buzz word. Prith works with Directors of SMEs, charities and the public sector who understand the need to think differently.

Prith is a published author and also a painter. She often uses painting as a vehicle to facilitate team development and to develop fresh, new perspectives on business challenges.

Cheryl Gourlay

Regional Enterprise Manager, NatWest 

Cheryl has worked for NatWest for 16 years and has spent her time working across different divisions. Cheryl’s role now is to support the delivery of the bank’s Enterprise agenda across Wales and the South West, working with local schools, universities and organisations which support aspiring entrepreneurs and existing businesses to achieve their ambitions.

Cheryl is hands-on in supporting enterprise discussions and creating entrepreneurial thinking inside NatWest as well as with key external stakeholders and partners, focusing on how the bank can make a positive impact in its communities.

Caroline Challoner

Managing Director, Cazbah Ltd.

Caroline launched Cazbah Ltd, a Marketing, Events, Research and Communications company based in Cardiff in 2006.  Previously as Head of Marketing for Education Learning Wales (ELWa), she has led on major communications campaigns, research and strategic marketing at a senior level.

One of Caroline’s main strands of responsibility was engaging with people and businesses from all sectors of society to encourage participation in learning and development. She has a wealth of experience in strategic and operational marketing; research; event and project management of largescale projects in Wales. She has worked for both the private and public sector during her career within the Tourism, Publishing, Education and Food and drink sectors so has many transferable skills.

Martin Rowling

Martyn Rowling, Lecturer in Marketing

Martyn has over 15 years experience in retail, finance and educational management within the UK and USA.

Working for one of the largest retail outlets in New York and financial institutions in the UK, Martyn has gained valuable experience in Sales, Business Development and Marketing. Martyn’s research focus is around online consumer behaviour and how social media has impacted on communications.
